First Wacken3D-Rig MKII sold
tectum - raum&zeit developed a 3D ShoulderRig for the 3D Movie "Wacken - louder than hell". The System is based on the P+S microRig and now got sold to the University Potsdam.
The MKII version of the "Wacken 3D Rig" now includes two 3D-matched and motorized zoom lenses as well as a Chrosziel Aladin MKII for the wireless lens and rig control. The two Modula POV Cmount Cameras from easylooksystem will be recorded on two Atomos Blades for which a special Start/Stop button was developed. The rig is equipped with special ND-Filters for external filtration.
The Modula POV Cameras have a CCD Kodak Sensor which records 1080p up to 50FpS.
Once the rig is calibrated it is out-of-the-box ready to shoot and therefore comparable with 3D-Camcorders. Though it has the big advantage that you will be working with a mirror-Rig so that your Stereobase is not fixed. Another advantage is that all items can be changed and/or upgraded individual.
A 4K-System Upgrade should be available within the next year.
